ClimbScotland is part of Mountaineering Scotland and is here to help inspire young people to get climbing, while giving parents, schools, colleges, youth organisations and climbing walls the skills and support to meet kids' climbing needs.
Why have ClimbScotland?
Mountaineering Scotland as an organisation has a broad remit – from the promotion of mountain safety to the general public - to campaigning about landscape and access issues.
We’re passionate about mountains and all things mountaineering. We’re equally passionate about climbing.
We are the national governing body for sport climbing and for many years have recognised the potential that climbing has to bring fun, challenge, comradeship, a healthy lifestyle and potentially a lifelong activity for Scotland’s young people.
We have promoted climbing to young people for many years, running competitions and training courses, but with the recent growth in kids, teenagers and students participating in the sport, we felt it was about time we really focused on what we offer young climbers.
