Poorly constructed hilltracks and roads are a concern for our members and can cause damage to the environment as well as being visually unappealing. Read more about the issue and what you can do to help us by monitoring and campaigning.
Windfarms remain a controversial issue in the mountains and wild land areas, but there is a substantial body of evidence and research which supports the approach taken by Mountaineering Scotland. We only object to a tiny proportion of applications but this explains some of our reasoning.
