Courses and events for club members

As a member of a club affiliated to Mountaineering Scotland you are eligible for all the same courses and events available to individual members. In addition we organise events  which are solely available through your club membership.

Clubs can arrange training or advice on any aspect of mountain skills and safety with our Mountain Safety Adviser, Ben Gibson. Ben is available to provide advice and assistance to all club members or smaller groups off the hill as well as formal training during your club meet. This might include navigation,  summer/winter mountain skills, scrambling, walk leader training or climbing and is tailored to the needs and level of the group.

This training is available to affiliated clubs at a reduced cost of just £110 per day. If you would like to take advantage of this training opportunity please contact Ben directly at ben@mountaineering.scot to discuss your requirements.

These courses and events are available to all Mountaineering Scotland members, whether individual members or through clubs, and include a wide range of skills courses - navigation, hill skills, winter safety and more - as well as a variety of climbing competitions and one-of events.
