Meet the Ready to Rock instructors

Instructors will be based in the area listed, but may arrange courses further afield.

My favourite discipline is still summer trad climbing, although you’ll also find me clipping bolts, bouldering and swinging axes. I’ve climbed in both hemispheres, up to 6,400m and had many adventures along the way."

I started climbing indoors at school and was always interested in getting outside. I joined a university mountaineering club where I finally got out and learnt from peers. I learnt a lot by experience, which is never always the easiest way to progress, but this gave me a passion to help others develop without having to learn to hard way. I started work at local climbing walls and now manage the wall in Stirling where I have established a junior club (Stirling Spiders) and also work with local groups.

I love getting out climbing in summer and winter. Visiting new cliffs and climbing on mountain routes are some of my most memorable and enjoyable days out
