Mountain Safety Adviser

(0.6 FTE Permanent Part Time Contract)

This post presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the well respected and high-profile Mountain Safety team at Mountaineering Scotland. 

The post will attract a candidate with either an MCI/Winter ML or WMCI or IFMGA Guide, with a substantial knowledge of the Scottish Mountains and mountain safety training and education.

The Mountain Safety Advisor will take a key role in the delivery of our Mountain Safety training programme, working closely with our other Mountain Safety Advisors. This involves the delivery of a range of training courses and programme of lectures and events throughout the year, as well as contributing to a range of media communications regarding mountain safety and acting as a spokesperson on mountain safety matters when required.

This post is being advertised as a permanent, part-time position which equate to a 0.6 FTE contract for the role of Mountain Safety Advisor (24 hours per week, flexibly over a 12-month period).
