Winter mountain safety lecture tour 2019/20

Mountaineering Scotland has teamed up with Cotswold Outdoor, Tiso, Craigdon, Scottish Walks magazine and Scottish Mountain Rescue to offer you a fascinating insight into Scotland's mountains in winter and some essential safety advice for heading into the hills at this time of year.

In these lectures, one of our Mountain Safety Advisors will share their beautiful photography, videos, personal anecdotes and adventures, while equipping you with some essential skills for winter navigation, avalanche awareness, route choice, equipment, mountain weather and much more. 

All this years events are listed below.

Cost of lectures is 5*.

All proceeds from these lectures will go to local mountain rescue teams or the Air Ambulance.

*Except Craigdon talk in November which is 8 and will include coffee and cake at the cafe..



Heather Morning

Thursday evening at 6pm for a 6.45 start at Craigdon, The Pentland Outdoor Centre, 44 Biggar Rd, Edinburgh EH10 7BJ.
