The Alex MacIntyre Memorial Hut was purchased jointly by the Mountaineering Council of Scotland (as it was then) and the BMC, to be operated as a base for climbers and walkers in memory of the outstanding Himalayan climber Alex MacIntyre. You can read more about him here.

The management of the Alex MacIntyre Memorial Hut is undertaken by a committee that is responsible to the trustees. The names of the officers can be found in the latest report below.
