That’s why we are proud to introduce Within You, our new campaign created in partnership with Keela. The campaign celebrates the confidence, freedom and connection that come from time spent in nature.
Launched on World Mental Health Day, 10 October 2025, Within You is more than a campaign – it’s a reminder that everything you need to take the next step, find your path or face the elements with confidence already exists within you.
Filmed in the beautiful Pentland Hills, Within You captures the raw beauty of Scotland’s landscapes, from sweeping ridgelines to rugged trails. It highlights how spending time outside can uplift both mental and physical wellbeing. Whether it’s a quiet morning walk or a challenging climb, every moment outdoors offers space to breathe, reflect and grow.
As the days shorten and the air turns colder, Within You invites everyone to embrace the changing season - to find confidence in the crisp air, comfort in connection, and freedom in the landscapes around us.
Mountaineering Scotland and Keela share the same goal: to make the outdoors accessible, enjoyable and safe for all.
Here at Mountaineering Scotland, we have championed the interests of walkers, climbers, and mountaineers across the country for more than 50 years. We provide expert advice, training, and advocacy to support and empower Scotland’s passionate outdoor community.
Keela mirrors that dedication through their performance outdoor clothing, crafted to thrive in the harshest conditions and trusted by rescue teams, adventurers, and explorers alike.
Now, we’re joining forces - blending Keela’s technical expertise with our deep-rooted mountain knowledge to help more people step outside with confidence, connection, and purpose. Together, we aim to inspire everyone to experience the freedom, resilience, and wellbeing that only the outdoors can bring.
Our campaign is led by two inspiring women whose experience, warmth and authenticity shine through everything they do.
Kirsty Pallas is Mountaineering Scotland’s Mountain Safety Adviser, as well as a freelance Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor and Winter Mountain Leader. Through her teaching, Kirsty empowers others with the knowledge and skills to explore wild places safely and confidently.
Anna Danby is a Mountain Leader, Keela ambassador, and founder of Wild Roots Guiding. Her work helps people reconnect with nature - and with themselves - through mindful mountain experiences that encourage presence, reflection, and confidence.
Together, Kirsty and Anna embody the heart of Within You, showing that the outdoors truly belongs to everyone. With preparation, the right skills and a positive mindset, every journey can become an opportunity to grow in confidence and connection.
