Strathfarrar access: roadworks

A section of the road through Glen Strathfarrer, mainly through Braulen Estate, is shortly to be re-surfaced, commencing on Thursday 28th November.

The Estate plans to close the road to vehicles during this time so the contractors can have a straight run at the repairs and complete the job quickly.

The hope is that the works wouldn’t be much more than a week, but is of course weather dependant. 

If you were thinking of a trip to take in the Strathfarrer Munros over the next week or so, then please do check with the Mountaineering Scotland Office regarding access. The Estate will advise us when the road surfacing is completed.

There is also a break in the winter vehicle access arrangements over the Christmas and New Year periods: there will be no vehicle access on to Braulen on 25th, 26th December and 1st and 2nd January, although mon-motorised access is still available.
