Scottish Wild Land Group AGM Saturday 4 November

Wednesday 25th October 2017, 11:26am

The Scottish Wild Land Group (SWLG) is a wild land charity which is run wholly by volunteers. SWLG was established in 1982 to protect and conserve wild land in Scotland, and has campaigned on a wide range of issues. On Saturday 4 November it will be holding a walk, AGM and talk by a guest speaker, Chris Townsend in Birnam.

Join SWLG steering group members for a pre-lunch riverside or forest walk in the Birnam area at 10.30am, meeting at the Birnam Centre. Have lunch at your leisure in Birnam, where there is a variety of cafes, hotels and other eateries or bring a picnic.

SWLG are delighted that Chris Townsend, the well known mountain walker, wild camper and author of many wilderness and long trail walking books will be joining them. Chris will give a talk on wilderness perspectives from his long distance treks, which he included in his reflections in his recent book “Out There”.
