Forestry Commission Scotland is reviewing its land management plan for the West Strathyre area in the Trossachs, south of Balquhidder and west of Loch Lubnaig.
Before commencing work on the new plan they are looking to find the views of stakeholders and other people with an interest in the area.
On behalf of FCS, Chartered Forester Ian Thomas said: “The new forest design plan will attempt to achieve a balance between our obligations to promote health, access and wellbeing; an economically viable, sustainable, quality timber resource; coherent landscape design, and the environmental and ecological improvement of the land we manage.”
Anyone wishing to contribute to the process can contact Ian Thomas by email at ian@landmanager.eu before July 29.
There is also a drop-in session at Strathyre Village Hall (Strathyre, FK18 8NA) on the 22nd July from 3pm to 7pm which would give you the opportunity to discuss any issues with Forestry Commission staff.
