Devil's Elbow lay-by to close

A busy lay-by much used by Munro baggers in the southern Cairngorms is due to be closed for part of July and most of August.

The lay-by on the east side of the Devil’s Elbow road, shown with a blue ‘P’ on the map, will be closed from 25^th July until around 26^th August for landscaping work, installation of a curved seat, and work on a short section of the path from the car park.

During the closure an alternative lay-by will be available on the opposite side of the road (not marked on the map) and another lay-by is available further up the hill.

The lay-by being improved is used as a popular starting point for Creag Leacach and Glas Maol.
