Creatives open for contributions

The Scottish Mountaineering Press has launched a new avenue for creative people inspired by the Scottish landscape.

Creatives is an innovative and thought-provoking digital publication which promotes, re-imagines and is inspired by the beauty of the Scottish landscape. Through writing and visual art, it offers a platform for unpublished, emerging and established creators to showcase their works to audiences all over the country, and provides a space for artists to collaborate, develop their crafts and motivate others to explore the natural world.

SMP, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the charity Scottish Mountaineering Trust, took the view that published mountain writing does not reflect the full range of communities that enjoy the hills, and is particularly keen to hear from creatives in underrepresented communities. 

The platform accepts works of fiction, poetry, non-fiction and visual art.
