Mountaineering Scotland Expedition Bursaries

Grant scheme ceased

At present Mountaineering Scotland is no longer offering grants for climbing or mountaineering expeditions.

However reports from previous recipients remain available below for research purposes.

Past expedition reports

It is a condition of Mountaineering Scotland grants that anyone receiving a bursary must submit a report after the event. These reports offer a valuable source of information about countries and mountains/crags which can help future visitors. The detailed information about costs and arrangements for expeditions, in particular, are invaluable for first-time travellers.

Summaries and pdf versions of most of the reports are available here. Other reports are available for viewing at the Library in the Mountaineering Scotland Office in Perth. Please contact the office to ensure it will be open when you visit: 01738 493 942.
